Photography Workshops in Stavanger & Sandnes
Handcrafted photography and hands-on workshops across Rogaland
Why I chose this place
Because, in case you hadn't noticed, it's beautiful here.
I did not end up in Rogaland by accident. The light here asks you to slow down and look, and I have never been able to resist that.
Here I found calm: a daily rhythm with room to think, to make, and to walk by the water before the day begins. It is quiet, but never empty.
And I found people. Schools, museums, festivals and municipalities opened their doors and trusted me with their children, their stories and their spaces. Some of the work I am most proud of was made in these rooms: a giant camera built together with children, photograms made by families in the darkroom, a camera obscura shown in a festival.
This is a place with memory. Its craft and culture live on in the people who look after them, and I am grateful to make photographs in conversation with it.
